Job Description
**Job Title:** HSE Engineer (Health, Safety & Environment) **Role Summary:** Provide immediate strategic support to strengthen HSE performance across multiple industrial sites during a transition period. Lead the structuring, implementation, and monitoring of the HSE management system, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive integration of new sites while fostering a strong safety culture. **Expectations:** - Deliver rapid, methodical HSE assessments and actionable plans. - Align HSE practices across all sites and new acquisitions. - Communicate effectively with site teams, senior management, and external auditors. - Maintain high standards of rigor, autonomy, and leadership throughout the assignment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct safety and environmental audits on all sites; identify gaps, prioritize risks, and manage corrective action plans. - Update and maintain regulatory documents (ICPE permits, waste management, prevention plans) and ensure ongoing legal compliance. - Develop and execute integration plans for newly acquired or constructed sites, standardizing HSE tools and procedures. - Lead training and awareness programs to embed a preventive safety culture. - Implement common HSE KPIs, monitor performance, analyze results, and report to senior management. - Perform regulatory monitoring and advise on upcoming legislative changes affecting operations. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of operational safety, ICPE regulations, waste management, risk assessment, and compliance. - Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement. - Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. - Effective communication and pedagogical abilities for training and stakeholder engagement. - High level of autonomy, rigor, and leadership. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in HSE, QSE, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Bac+5 / Master’s level). - Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in an industrial, preferably multi‑site, environment. - Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, NEBOSH, CSP) are desirable but not mandatory.
