Job title: Inside Sales Representative
Role Summary:
Provide technical sales support for HVAC and plumbing products, generating quotes, processing orders, and cultivating customer relationships to drive revenue growth.
Expectations:
• Achieve quarterly sales targets and pipeline goals.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service and maintain high satisfaction metrics.
• Act as a trusted advisor for contractors, distributors, and facility managers.
Key Responsibilities:
– Handle inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and CRM.
– Generate accurate quotes, proposals, and pricing for customers and contractors.
– Process purchase orders and coordinate with operations for timely delivery.
– Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, positioning as a trusted advisor.
– Upsell and cross‑sell complementary HVAC & plumbing products.
– Interpret specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to guide product selection.
– Collaborate with outside sales reps and manufacturers to close deals.
– Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, pipeline opportunities, and interactions in the CRM.
– Stay current on new products, industry regulations, and market trends.
Required Skills:
• 3+ years in inside sales, B2B sales, or technical support with HVAC focus.
• In‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems (split units, VRF, chillers, boilers) and plumbing systems (piping, pumps, fixtures).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer‑first mindset.
• Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and ERP systems (Epicor, Infor).
• Ability to read technical documents, spec sheets, and product catalogs.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Basic mathematical acuity for pricing and quotation work.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of HVAC product sales experience.
• No additional certifications required, though HVAC or plumbing trade certifications are advantageous.
