Job Description: SQL Developer Role Summary: Develop and maintain SQL Server databases and health analytics solutions for provincial health authorities. Requires extensive experience in database management, health reporting systems, and enterprise BI tools. Expectations: - 15 years IT experience (10+ years SSIS, 5+ years health analytics/health reporting systems in Canadian provincial health sectors) - Senior SQL Developer role in operational environments with enterprise systems integration expertise - Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy technical solutions across complex systems architectures Key Responsibilities: - Develop and optimize SQL Server databases (tables, views, procedures, indexes) - Implement SSIS packages for data integration workflows - Design and deploy SSRS reports/Power BI dashboards for health analytics - Perform database performance tuning and maintenance - Integrate and manage BI/analytic platforms (Power BI, Cognos) - Develop technical solutions for health reporting systems in regulatory environments Required Skills: - SQL Server (2012+) database development and administration - SSIS package design and implementation - SSRS/Power BI report/dashboard development - Relational database management and performance optimization - Enterprise BI system administration (Power BI preferred) - Systems architecture in multi-domain environments - Cognos/Impromptu experience Required Education & Certifications: - University degree in Computer Science or related discipline - 15+ years IT/IM experience (15 years total, 10 years SSIS, 5 years health IT specific)
