Job Description
**Job Title**: Business Development Manager – Logistics **Role Summary** Drive revenue growth for a freight forwarding firm by acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships across air and ocean freight services. Lead the sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and contract finalization, while collaborating with operations to ensure seamless service delivery. **Expectations** - Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets. - Expand the customer base within the logistics sector. - Deliver accurate forecasts and pipeline reports to senior management. **Key Responsibilities** - Prospect and qualify new business opportunities in the freight forwarding market. - Build and maintain relationships with shippers, carriers, and industry partners. - Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contracts tailored to client needs. - Negotiate freight rates and terms to secure profitable agreements. - Coordinate with operations, customs, and compliance teams to ensure service quality. - Manage and update customer information in the CRM system. - Track and report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and market trends. - Contribute to marketing initiatives and trade shows to raise brand visibility. **Required Skills** - Proven sales experience (≥3 years) in logistics or freight forwarding. - Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight operations, pricing structures, and regulations. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. - Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office. - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market insights. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. - Professional certification in freight or logistics (e.g., CILT, CIM) is a plus. ---
