Job Description
**Job Title:** Data Entry Clerk **Role Summary:** Performs advanced data entry across multiple systems, ensures accuracy of confidential information, develops simple SOPs, and provides guidance to junior staff. Independently plans, organizes, and schedules own workload, and contributes to process improvements during system transitions. **Expectations:** - Minimum 6 + years of data entry experience. - Ability to maintain high accuracy while typing ≥10,000 keystrokes per hour. - Demonstrated competence in prioritizing, error‑checking, and generating reports. - Capability to train and mentor staff after mastering core tasks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Enter alphanumeric data into various platforms (Excel, SAP, Salesforce, mainframe, WMS, DIS). - Proofread entries for completeness and correct errors through visual inspection. - Maintain accurate records and generate regular data reports. - Prioritize work by coding, sorting, and applying simple mechanical adjustments (e.g., switching sets, changing controls). - Develop and document basic standard operating procedures for data entry tasks. - Provide guidance and training to less‑experienced team members. - Make decisions within defined authority that affect departmental processes and system updates. **Required Skills:** - High typing speed (≥10,000 keystrokes/hour) with 10‑key proficiency. - Strong mathematical and item‑processing abilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access (preferred). - Working knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, mainframe applications, WMS, and DIS. - Excellent attention to detail and data‑validation skills. - Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information securely. - Effective communication and basic training/mentoring capabilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High school diploma (required). - Post‑secondary education (preferred). - No specific certifications listed; relevant experience and tool proficiency are primary qualifications.
