Job title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Role Summary: Design, deploy, and manage secure AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts for data and cyber‑security workloads, focusing on operations and resilience rather than pure DevOps development. Expectations: 2–3 years of AWS experience, proven ability to influence project technology, strong control of a secure multi‑account environment, and a commitment to continuous improvement of cloud practices. Key Responsibilities: - Provision, configure, and maintain AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, GuardDuty, etc.) across multiple accounts. - Design and enforce VPC networking, routing, and segmentation to meet security and compliance requirements. - Administer Windows and Linux servers, ensuring high availability and baseline security hardening. - Manage Active Directory / Entra ID and privileged identity services for secure access control. - Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform, including code review, versioning, and CI/CD integration. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate infrastructure incidents; conduct post‑incident analysis. - Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security frameworks and resilience best practices. Required Skills: - AWS multi‑account architecture, IAM, CloudFormation/SSM, CloudWatch, Lambda, and AWS security services. - Deep VPC knowledge: subnets, route tables, peering, transit gateways, segmentation. - Windows and Linux server administration, patching, and troubleshooting. - Active Directory / Entra ID, privileged access management, and SSO integration. - Terraform (state management, modules, version control). - Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, SOC2) and resilience principles. - Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation and incident response. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. - AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certification. - Optional: Microsoft 365/AD or Privileged Identity Management certification.
