Job title: Chief of Security and Duty Manager
Role Summary: Lead security operations for a residential estate, managing access, surveillance, incident response, and staff performance while ensuring compliance and excellent resident service.
Expectations: Deliver round‑clock safety and operational excellence, develop and implement security protocols, coordinate with law enforcement and vendors, handle resident inquiries, and manage security personnel and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor security strategy, SOPs, and business continuity plans for the estate.
- Oversee access control, ingress strategy, CCTV monitoring, and traffic management.
- Lead daily front‑desk and security operations, ensuring timely incident investigation and reporting.
- Manage a security team: performance reviews, training, roster scheduling, and professional development.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with fire safety, data protection, key handling, and parcel management policies.
- Liaise with police, security vendors, contractors, and residents; enforce lease‑related security and sub‑letting regulations.
- Conduct site patrols, H&S checks, and risk assessment reviews; supervise contractors and implement RAMS.
- Provide high‑quality resident, tenant, and guest customer service.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in security management and operations, including access control and surveillance.
- Strong knowledge of evacuation procedures, fire safety, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership skills: team management, performance reviews, training, and rota planning.
- Effective communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to handle incident investigations, risk assessments, and contractor supervision.
Required Education & Certifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- Professional security qualification (e.g., RICS Certificate in Security Management, Security Guard Qualification).
- Valid UK security clearance or experience working under UK security legislation is preferred.
