Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer Role Summary: Design and develop Python-based data ingestion pipelines and ETL services using AWS serverless technologies and Databricks Lakehouse. Lead migration of legacy pipelines to a cloud-based, shared data management system, enabling data analysts to cleanse and enrich datasets before delivering them to Delta tables. Expectations: • 4+ years of professional Python (or Java) development. • Strong SQL and relational database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL). • Proven ability to build and maintain cloud-native data pipelines and automate manual workflows. • Collaborative mindset: work with product owners, engineers, data analysts, and scientists. Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and refactor ingestion pipelines in AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, S3). • Implement data migration workflows to the BDMS, including data loading, cleaning, enrichment, and storage in Delta tables. • Develop reusable tools for data analysts to modify and validate datasets. • Write infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and adopt DevOps practices. • Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines using AWS CloudWatch and related observability tools. • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize data collection processes and automate repetitive tasks. Required Skills: • Python programming (design + development). • Advanced SQL proficiency; experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL. • ETL development and data pipeline architecture. • AWS services: Lambda, S3, Step Functions, CloudWatch. • Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake. • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation). • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. • AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect or Developer) is an advantage.
