Job title Press Relations Assistant – Internship (BFMTV/BFM Business/Local Channels) Role Summary Assist the public‑relations teams for BFMTV, BFM Business and local BFM channels, supporting the development and dissemination of press information and managing media outreach during a 6‑month internship starting January 2026. Expactations Deliver clear, accurate press releases, maintain updated journalist databases, and track media coverage. Participate in planning and coordinating press events, photo shoots, and produce regular press reviews. Demonstrate strong writing, editing, and organizational skills while contributing ideas to enhance the group’s media presence. Key Responsibilities - Draft and distribute press releases for the media group’s TV and radio channels. - Follow up with journalists, secure placements, and monitor coverage. - Create, update, and maintain a database of qualified media contacts. - Support the planning and execution of press events that promote channel activities and content. - Coordinate and supervise photo shoots for broadcast and editorial use. - Compile media monitoring reports and provide analytical summaries of coverage trends. Required Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication in French; strong command of grammar and orthography. - Proficiency in media‑relations tools (e.g., press release distribution platforms, media databases). - Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines. - Ability to work collaboratively, engage positively with journalists and internal stakeholders. - Interest and up‑to‑date knowledge of national, international and economic news. Required Education & Certifications Current enrollment or recent graduation in communication, journalism, public relations, media studies, or a related field. Internship status acceptable; formal certification in press relations or journalism is a plus.
