Job Description
Job Title: Pre‑Sales Solutions Engineer Role Summary: Partner with Account Executives to conduct in‑depth technical discovery with mid‑market and enterprise prospects, configure tailored demo environments, and deliver proof‑of‑concepts that validate Miter’s construction‑industry software solutions. Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, from discovery to product demonstration and technical validation, ensuring prospects understand how Miter addresses their workflows and integrations. Expectations: - Deep technical engagement with complex prospects, uncovering needs and translating them into solution designs. - Act as the primary technical liaison during sales cycles, answering questions on APIs, data flows, integrations, and product capabilities. - Collaborate with Product and Engineering to scope custom solutions and advocate for development needs. - Contribute to continuous improvement of the Pre‑Sales playbook and knowledge transfer to Launch teams. Key Responsibilities: - Run technical discovery sessions with prospects in partnership with Account Executives. - Configure and maintain demo environments that reflect prospect workflows, integrations, and API interactions. - Build and present proof‑of‑concept deliverables that demonstrate value and win deals. - Interface with Product and Engineering to identify scope for custom solutions or new feature development. - Document and refine troubleshooting processes, playbooks, and best‑practice guides for the sales team. Required Skills: - >2 years in a customer‑facing technical role (solutions engineering, sales engineering, or implementation). - Experience with mid‑market/enterprise technical discovery and validation. - Strong knowledge of APIs, integrations, and custom demo environment configuration. - Ability to troubleshoot complex workflows and interpret technical documentation. - Clear, articulate communication for both technical and non‑technical audiences. - Proactive, collaborative, solutions‑focused mindset. - Optional: Familiarity with construction work‑breakdown structures, field operations, payroll, or accounting. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
