Job Description
Job Title: Technology Engineer Role Summary: Responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and support of VoIP telephony systems and associated communication technologies, ensuring secure, high‑performance voice solutions for customers. Expectations: Must be capable of commuting to the Hull and Humber area daily. Strong customer focus, proactive problem‑solving, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, and maintain hosted and cloud‑based VoIP systems. - Deliver 2nd/3rd line support for VoIP incidents and service requests. - Collaborate with customers and suppliers to design and implement end‑to‑end telephony solutions. - Apply security best practices to protect VoIP infrastructure from fraud and vulnerabilities. - Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and new project rollouts. - Evaluate emerging VoIP technologies and recommend improvements. Required Skills - Understanding of networking principles and telecommunications protocols. - Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Experience with installation tasks (e.g., cable pulling, data outlet installation) is a plus. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - Professional certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP, ACD, or equivalent VoIP or networking credentials.
