Job Description
Job title: Solution Architect Role Summary: Design end‑to‑end enterprise solutions for large engineering and project‑delivery initiatives, producing High‑Level Architecture and Design artifacts that align with established EA principles. Serve as a technical bridge between business requirements, integration, data, and security domains, ensuring delivery teams can implement designs with minimal rework. Expectations: - Deliver pragmatic HLA/HLD documents that clearly depict application, integration, data flows, and security controls. - Align all designs with architecture principles and guardrails from the EA operating model. - Mentor project teams during early design and implementation phases. - Contribute reusable patterns and lessons to the EA repository. - Support at least 1–2 pilot projects through the full EA workflow. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Senior EA, Business Architects, and domain SMEs to define priority project solutions. - Produce HLA/HLD using C4, UML, sequence and context/container diagrams at appropriate abstraction levels. - Ensure designs meet non‑functional requirements: availability, performance, scalability, security, supportability. - Participate in Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings, present solutions, and incorporate feedback. - Translate business constraints into viable solution options with trade‑offs, communicated in clear language. - Work closely with Data and Integration Architects on interfaces, APIs, data flows, and non‑functional requirements. - Provide technical guidance during design and early implementation to maintain consistency with agreed HLD. - Update and refine internal solution architecture templates, methods, and patterns based on pilot outcomes. Required Skills: - 7+ years as a Solution Architect in complex, multi‑system environments. - Proven ability to design end‑to‑end solutions spanning applications, integrations, and data. - Proficiency in HLA/HLD creation with standard notations (C4, UML). - Deep understanding of non‑functional requirements and their design impact. - Experience in project‑driven industries (engineering, construction, energy, utilities, manufacturing) or comparable large‑scale programs. - Strong communication skills in English; ability to explain technical concepts to business and technical stakeholders. - Capable of working in a hybrid remote/on‑site model. Nice to have: experience with Microsoft 365/Azure, SAP, Dynamics 365, cloud‑native architectures (API, microservices, event‑driven), architecture governance (ARB), French language, consulting in a client‑facing role. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred but not mandatory.
