Anthem Consulting is a boutique recruitment consultancy specialising in the recruitment of marketing and business development professionals in the professional services arena. Anthem provides recruitment and search capability at all levels to Director level across legal, accountancy, property, management consultancy, the built environment and professional bodies. We will service all marketing and business development roles including specialist roles such as client relationship management, practice management, knowledge management, InterAction and digital roles.

Anthem was set up by Frosso Miltiadou and Simone Timcke who are leaders in the professional services recruitment market and between them have over 20 years' experience in both recruitment and search. Job Description
**Job title:** Business Development Manager (Corporate) **Role Summary:** Accountable for developing and executing business development strategies for the Corporate group, with a primary focus on Retail & Leisure sectors. The role leads sector strategy, mentors a BD Assistant, and supports the creation of RFP responses, internal communications, and thought‑leadership initiatives. **Expectations:** - Deliver measurable growth in corporate client base and sector revenue. - Act as a senior BD mentor, fostering skill development of junior staff. - Maintain consistent, high‑quality engagement with target sectors and corporate clients. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement Corporate BD strategy encompassing Corporate transactions, IP & Commercial, and Employment. - Lead and refine the firm’s Retail & Leisure sector strategy. - Mentor and line‑manage a BD Assistant, providing coaching and performance feedback. - Craft and manage RFP responses, proposals, and credentialing materials. - Coordinate internal communications for practice and sector groups to promote knowledge sharing. - Plan and deliver thought‑leadership campaigns, presentations, and speaking engagements. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience in legal business development, especially within Corporate practice. - Strong strategic planning, prospect identification, and pipeline management skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication; persuasive presentation ability. - Leadership and coaching experience. - Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Qualified solicitor or qualified legal professional with substantive Corporate experience. - Proven track record of corporate client acquisition and sector development. - Any additional business development or marketing certifications are an advantage.
