Job Description
**Job Title** Category Insights Manager (18‑month contract) **Role Summary** Lead analytical and strategic initiatives to drive category growth for key retail partners. Act as the primary category expert, collaborating with sales teams and retailers to optimize assortment, pricing, promotion, and shelf placement based on shopper and market insights. **Expectations** - Deliver data‑driven recommendations and performance dashboards. - Maintain strong relationships with retailer category leaders. - Champion collaborative plans to meet annual sales, gross margin, and market‑share targets. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyze shopper and consumer data from Nielsen, POS/AA systems (LDIA, Circana, Dunnhumby, Retail Link). - Conduct category reviews, presenting strategies for assortment, pricing, promotion, and shelving. - Develop and communicate post‑event analyses and trend insights. - Produce standardized reporting on customer metrics and performance opportunities. - Create Gold Standard planograms and support master guideline generation. - Train and educate sales teams on advanced category management techniques. - Share global best practices and marketplace trends with retailer partners. - Support joint business planning (JBP) and top‑to‑top meetings. - Contribute to the annual strategic plan, identifying future opportunities in innovation, distribution, and display. **Required Skills** - Minimum 7 years of category management experience in CPG industry. - Expert use of Nielsen tools/platforms and POS/AA systems. - Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; strong analytical capabilities. - Self‑starter with excellent organization and multi‑project management. - Strong oral and written communication; storytelling ability. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. **Required Education & Certifications** - University degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, or related field. - Relevant certifications in category management, analytics, or Nielsen platforms preferred.
