Job Title: Solution Architect III
Role Summary: Senior solution architect for Infrastructure & Engineering, responsible for designing, authoring, and owning end‑to‑end solution blueprints that align with enterprise architecture guidelines. Provides technical guidance to product and platform teams, ensures scalable, secure, and reliable delivery, and champions Kubernetes adoption and operational observability.
Expactations: 8+ years of solution architecture experience with a strong foundation in cloud and container technologies; proven track record delivering complex, multi‑layered enterprise solutions; deep understanding of architecture frameworks and governance; strong communication and mentorship skills; ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence stakeholders about risk and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and author architectural target states, blueprints, and design specs for infrastructure and platform solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and prototypes to validate architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams to align feature roadmaps with architectural principles.
- Define technology stack suitability, security, scalability, and cost principles, rallying teams around shared constraints.
- Drive end‑to‑end Kubernetes implementation, optimize container deployment, and standardize platform usage.
- Establish SLOs, observability standards, and reliability benchmarks; monitor and report on performance.
- Interface with governance, compliance, and risk groups to address architectural risks and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior architects and developers, fostering skill growth and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in enterprise initiatives to shape architecture strategy and risk mitigation.
Required Skills:
- Enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), tech‑stack design, and multi‑layer software architecture.
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid‑cloud integration.
- Containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes, Docker, and related toolchains.
- CI/CD, configuration management, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Security, scalability, and reliability engineering; SLO/SLO design.
- Observability, monitoring, and incident response.
- Risk, compliance, and audit liaison.
- Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder engagement.
- Mentoring and knowledge transfer.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- TOGAF Certified Architecture Professional (preferred).
- Cloud Solutions Architect certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect).
- Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) or equivalent.
