About the Company

Job Description
**Job title** M2 Engineering Internship – AI for Health **Role Summary** Conduct research and development of artificial intelligence solutions applied to healthcare as part of a joint program between the CHU of Toulouse and IRIT. Gain hands‑on experience translating clinical needs into AI products under the "IA pour la santé" initiative. **Expectations** * Final‑year master’s student (M2) in computer science, data science, biomedical engineering, or a related field. * Strong motivation to apply AI to medical data and improve patient outcomes. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinicians and researchers. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Design, train, and validate machine‑learning models on clinical datasets. 2. Preprocess and anonymize medical data while ensuring compliance with GDPR and local health regulations. 3. Prototype and evaluate AI tools for diagnostic/prognostic support. 4. Document methods, results, and user‑interface prototypes. 5. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to translate clinical requirements into technical specifications. 6. Contribute to scientific writing and conference presentations as required. **Required Skills** * Proficiency in Python (scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and data‑analysis libraries (pandas, NumPy). * Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation metrics. * Familiarity with medical imaging or electronic health record data formats (DICOM, HL7/FHIR). * Knowledge of data‑privacy laws and ethical AI principles. * Strong written and verbal communication in English (French preferred). **Required Education & Certifications** * Enrollment in a Master’s (M2) program with a focus on AI, machine learning, data science, or biomedical engineering. * No specific certifications required, but familiarity with ML certifications (e.g., TensorFlow, AWS, Azure ML) is a plus.
