Job Description
Job title: Junior Software Engineer Role Summary Support development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of internal business applications; resolve technical issues; collaborate with cross‑functional teams; gradually take on increased ownership under guidance of senior engineers. Expectations - Complete core development and support tasks within established processes. - Work independently with moderate supervision. - Communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders. - Document work and follow coding standards. - Deliver solutions that meet business and technical requirements. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, configure, and support internal software applications. - Translate business and technical requirements into functional solutions. - Participate in the full application lifecycle: coding, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and enhancements. - Diagnose and troubleshoot application issues, applying standard problem‑solving techniques. - Contribute to larger projects or specific workstreams. - Maintain accurate documentation of design decisions, code changes, and test results. - Provide task‑level guidance to newer or junior team members as needed. Required Skills - Programming experience in one or more languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript). - Basic scripting and database knowledge (SQL, NoSQL). - Familiarity with application development and support processes. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. - Effective written and verbal communication. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, **or** equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 1–2 years in software development or digital technology). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Oracle Certified Associate) are a plus but not mandatory.
