Job title: Application Engineer: Co‑Op Role Summary: A 3‑semester co‑op position for current college students to design, develop, test, and deploy web‑scale features for a healthcare payments platform. Involved from early coding to production with an agile team, leveraging Kubernetes on AWS and continuous integration pipelines. Expactations: Must be enrolled in an academic program that provides credit for a 3‑term co‑op. 0‑3 years of coding experience. Ability to work in fast‑paced, changing environments, both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and test new functionality and enhancements on the platform. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and code reviews. - Push code changes directly to production under guidance of senior engineers. - Collaborate with Product, Design, and DevOps teams to refine requirements and deliver robust solutions. - Maintain and query MySQL databases and support data access patterns. - Contribute to infrastructure operations (Kubernetes on AWS, Jenkins CI/CD, networking, load balancing). - Document code, architecture decisions, and create user‑friendly documentation.
