Job Title: Maintenance Worker
Role Summary: Perform guest‑room, public‑area, and exterior maintenance for a portfolio of resort and restaurant properties. Respond to work‑order requests, deliver timely repairs, and conduct preventive upkeep to meet company standards.
Expectations:
- 2+ years of maintenance or supervisory experience in a hotel or lodging environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work orders, and collaborate with housekeeping, guest services, and management.
- Demonstrated leadership with a team‑focused, proactive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and log work‑order requests via maintenance application; update status and communicate progress to guests.
- Execute repairs in guest rooms, restaurants, and public spaces: upholstery, carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and general electrical.
- Conduct preventive maintenance: HVAC filter changes, pool cleaning, pool maintenance, equipment inspections (bicycles, golf carts, company vehicles).
- Perform seasonal activities: furniture relocation, winterization, opening/closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of public, exterior, and maintenance areas: lighting, waste removal, snow/ice removal, landscaping.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire alarm, emergency evacuation, and all relevant safety regulations; report hazardous conditions.
- Keep tool and equipment storage organized and safe; report unsafe work areas.
- Attend training, meetings, and reports; adhere to attendance, uniform, and time‑keeping policies.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in general maintenance trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, tile, and equipment upkeep.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance work‑order systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; English proficiency.
- Physical capability: stand up to 8 hrs, lift up to 80 lb, climb ladders, work outdoors in extreme weather, and travel stairs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; background check required.
Required Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour certification (or equivalent safety training).
- Current first aid/CPR certification (preferred).
- HVAC or other relevant technical certification (preferred).
