Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable public cloud environments, primarily using Okta, Microsoft 365, and AWS, while automating workflows and integrations to accelerate business operations.
Expectations: Deliver high‑availability, compliant cloud solutions that support rapid deployment of workloads; collaborate cross‑functionally with development, security, and operations teams; participate in on‑call rotations and root‑cause analysis; continuously improve automation tooling and self‑service platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and operationalize IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS deployments across AWS, and manage multi‑regional/zone resilience.
- Lead migration of on‑prem workloads to cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and security alignment.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and APIs for provisioning, identity, and secret management.
- Configure and administer Okta and Microsoft 365, including workforce identity, SSO, and workflow automation.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for cloud infrastructure and integrations.
- Collaborate with ITSM tools (ticketing, CMDB) to track incidents, change requests, and projects.
- Conduct compliance and audit reviews, implement security best practices (least privilege, MFA, secrets management).
- Participate in on‑call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical services.
- Build and maintain self‑service portals and developer tooling to accelerate deployment cycles.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of cloud engineering experience (5+ preferred).
- Expertise in Okta (including Workflow), Microsoft 365, and AWS.
- Strong knowledge of cloud identity & access management, IAM, IdP integrations, and secrets management.
- Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell).
- Experience with multi‑zone/region high‑availability architecture.
- Ability to diagnose complex automation and cloud issues.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, analytical, and time‑management skills.
- Familiarity with ITSM ticketing and project management systems.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Professional cloud certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or equivalent), Okta Certified Administrator, Azure Fundamentals (preferred).
