Job Description
Job Title: Protection & Control Systems Engineer Role Summary: Lead and deliver protection & control system design for transmission & distribution projects. Ensure compliance with IEC 61850, substation protocols, and cybersecurity requirements. Provide technical guidance from concept through approval and support sales and tendering activity. Expectations: - Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget. - Maintain high quality and regulatory compliance. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders, clients and team members. - Proactively identify and mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities: - Chair design workshops, review meetings and stakeholder sessions. - Develop SLDs, KLDs, system architecture, concept designs and functional specifications. - Produce schematics, layouts, calculations, schedules and compliance documents. - Conduct site visits and non‑intrusive surveys to support design and implementation. - Support client approval and qualification of solutions. - Provide technical input for sales, tendering and project costing. - Work collaboratively with Project Manager on schedule, cost and risk management.
