Job Description
**Job title** Freelance Project Manager – Utilities & Water **Role Summary** Lead and manage 2–3 concurrent Environment Agency civil engineering schemes, ensuring timely delivery against contract programmes, within safety and quality standards. **Expectations** - Successfully deliver projects for a Tier 1 contractor, maintaining contractual and regulatory compliance. - Uphold safety, quality, and company values across the project team. - Provide accurate KPI, incident, and reporting to AGC and client standards. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop, monitor and update project programmes through life‑cycle. - Drive project risk management, establishing controls and mitigation plans. - Coordinate with contractors, clients and stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations (NEC) are met. - Report on performance metrics, near misses, accidents, and incidents per AGC/Client procedures. - Maintain H&S protocols, ensuring all activities comply with strict safety standards. - Use MS Project and other IT tools for planning, tracking and reporting. **Required Skills** - Engineering background with proven civil management experience. - Strong understanding of NEC contract provisions and risk management. - Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, and project management software. - Excellent communication, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership. - Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality outcomes. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree or HND in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field. - Knowledge of AGC reporting, H&S standards, and NEC contracting preferred.
