Job Description

**Job title** Senior Software Engineer **Role Summary** Design and develop distributed backend services and frontend components for a health‑tech platform that scales AI‑driven drug discovery workflows. Lead architecture decisions, implement CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high‑quality, maintainable code in a fast‑paced startup environment. **Expectations** - Hit shipping targets in short sprints while maintaining architectural standards. - Own end‑to‑end features from concept through production roll‑out. - Mentor junior engineers and set coding best practices. - Engage cross‑functional teams (product, data science, ops) to translate requirements into technical solutions. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and build scalable microservices in Java, handling data ingestion, processing, and storage in SQL databases. - Design and maintain containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. - Develop responsive user interfaces in React, coordinating with design and product. - Implement automated CI/CD pipelines and monitor deployments for reliability and performance. - Perform code reviews, peer troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of system resilience. - Collaborate with data science teams to integrate machine‑learning models into production pipelines. - Resolve complex performance, security, and scalability issues in a production environment. **Required Skills** - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience. - Proficient in Java (Spring Boot, JPA, etc.). - Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and networking concepts. - Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment strategies. - Solid SQL skills—designing and querying relational databases. - Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent). - Front‑end development in React (JS/TS). - Experience with RESTful API design and documentation. - Debugging, performance tuning, and automated testing (unit/integration). - Excellent communication, self‑direction, and proactive problem‑solving. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. - Certifications in Kubernetes or cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) are a plus.
