Job Description: **Job Title** Field Hardware Specialist **Role Summary** Design, prototype, and fabricate hardware frameworks that integrate vision systems into production environments. Provide end‑to‑end ownership of hardware projects while collaborating closely with software, procurement, and materials teams. **Expectations** - 3–6 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields. - Proven ability to translate concepts into finished hardware with minimal oversight. - Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360). - Hands‑on prototyping skills (machining, 3‑D printing, assembly). - Welding experience, especially stainless steel, is a major plus. **Key Responsibilities** - Create 2D/3D CAD blueprints for vision system enclosures and mounting structures. - Select appropriate cameras and configure lighting setups for optimal image capture. - Prototype hardware using machining, welding, and assembly techniques. - Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless hardware‑software integration. - Source materials and components, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain cost‑effectiveness. - Own projects independently while maintaining communication with cross‑functional teams. - Conduct field testing and iterate designs based on operational feedback. **Required Skills** - CAD design (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360). - Prototyping (machining, 3‑D printing, assembly). - Stainless steel welding (preferred). - Independent problem solving and proactive initiative. - Knowledge of automation, conveyors, robotics, or food/packaging machinery a bonus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. - Welding certification (e.g., AWS) advantageous.
