Job Title: Investment Analyst (Real Estate)
Role Summary
Support underwriting, due diligence, and execution of UK and European living‑sector real‑estate investments. Deliver market research, financial modelling, and investor reporting to aid decision‑making for acquisition, financing, and strategy initiatives.
Expectations
- Acquire deep knowledge of BTR, PBSA, and Co‑Living markets within 6–12 months.
- Develop independent, accurate financial models (DCF, IRR, sensitivity analyses) for investment evaluation.
- Produce clear, persuasive investment documentation and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate transaction activities across multiple workstreams and manage timelines.
- Contribute to equity/debt funding processes and maintain investor communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis for potential acquisition targets.
- Build and maintain robust financial models for new deals, including scenario and sensitivity testing.
- Prepare investment memos, business cases, and pitch decks for internal and external review.
- Lead due diligence activities: property, lease, title, regulatory, and financial status reviews.
- Manage transaction coordination with lenders, investors, and legal advisers.
- Monitor portfolio performance, compile reports, and support strategic reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams (data analytics, finance, operations) to refine performance metrics.
Required Skills
- Proficient in financial modelling (DCF, IRR, sensitivity analysis); advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros).
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; presentation skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, with capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience or familiarity with real‑estate investment, advisory, or financing; exposure to living‑sector properties is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Post‑graduate qualification or active CFA candidature is advantageous.
