Billing & Credit Controller (FTC)
Job Description
Job Title: Billing & Credit Controller (FTC) Role Summary: Manage a portfolio of partner accounts to recover global commercial debts, resolve queries, allocate receipts, and support accurate invoicing and credit processes. Act as the primary contact within the organization for credit control activities. Expectations: - 2+ years of B2B credit control experience, preferably with global accounts. - Proven track record in debt chasing, billing, and invoicing within high‑pressure commercial environments. - Strong communication skills for phone and email negotiation. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as first point of contact for credit control across a designated portfolio (online retailers, media agencies, affiliate networks). - Perform monthly billing cycle duties including invoice processing, credit note issuance, and supplier portal uploads. - Chase payments, send dunning letters, negotiate payment plans, and escalate non‑paying partners. - Resolve disputes, identify unallocated payments, and maintain accurate customer master data in ERP systems. - Post and allocate bank receipts, support bank reconciliations, and process credit card payments (PCI compliant). - Produce and distribute monthly statements of accounts; monitor and report on aged debt, DSO, CEI, and bad debt metrics. - Assist with audit controls, credit checks, and legal procedures as required. Required Skills: - B2B credit control and debt recovery experience. - Familiarity with invoicing, billing, and receivable processes. - Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems (Sage, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics Nav, Salesforce). - Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables). - Strong numerical and financial analysis abilities; understanding of sales ledger and month‑end duties. - Knowledge of credit checking, legal recovery procedures, and audit controls. - Excellent telephone communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
