Job Description

Job title: Artificial Intelligence Developer & Backend Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and integrate AI models and backend solutions for client‑facing applications. Collaborate on end‑to‑end AI workflows, from model training to deployment, while building and maintaining secure, high‑performance APIs with Python. Expectations: - Deliver scalable AI and backend components that meet business requirements. - Continuously learn and adopt new AI techniques and industry best practices. - Communicate effectively in French and English with cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, train, and fine‑tune large language models (LLMs) and other AI models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit‑learn. - Deploy and maintain LLMs in production environments, ensuring efficiency and reliability. - Build RESTful APIs with FastAPI or Flask, integrating AI models into backend services. - Optimize backend code for performance, scalability, and maintainability. - Collaborate on MLOps pipelines: versioning, monitoring, and continuous delivery of models. - Conduct performance evaluation of models and implement optimization techniques such as distillation or quantization. - Participate in applied research initiatives and stay current with AI literature. Required Skills: - Proficient in Python and at least one AI library (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑learn). - Experience with FastAPI or Flask for API development. - Hands‑on with LLMs (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5) and deployment in production. - Knowledge of best practices in software development, including code reviews and unit testing. - Familiarity with NLP techniques, model fine‑tuning, and evaluation metrics. - Ability to work with MLOps tools and pipelines (e.g., MLflow, DVC, Docker). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. - Fluency in French and English. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field. - Relevant certifications in AI/ML or Python (e.g., TensorFlow Developer, PyTorch Practitioner) are a plus.
