Job Title: ITO Support Engineer
Role Summary:
Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for approximately 3,000 users across macOS, Windows, and Linux environments. Manage helpdesk tickets, resolve technical issues remotely or on‑desk, lead onboarding and training sessions, and maintain hardware and software inventory.
Expectations:
* Deliver prompt, friendly, and effective support while maintaining high service standards.
* Log, track, and resolve all tickets according to agreed processes.
* Communicate clearly with end‑users and specialist ITO teams.
* Maintain buffer stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle IT service requests received via Slack, phone, email, self‑service portal, and walk‑ups.
2. Provide 1st and 2nd line support for macOS, Windows 7/10/11, and Linux (Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu).
3. Troubleshoot LAN, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP issues on all platforms.
4. Use JAMF and SCCM to deploy applications, patches, and manage end‑user devices.
5. Conduct employee onboarding and technical training sessions.
6. Manage stock inventory, ensuring buffer levels and liaising with vendors.
7. Log, monitor, and close tickets using an IT call‑logging system; ServiceNow experience is an advantage.
8. Collaborate with specialist ITO teams for escalated issues.
9. Work shift 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Required Skills:
* Strong customer‑service orientation and clear communication.
* Hands‑on experience with macOS, Windows, and Linux troubleshooting.
* Basic networking knowledge (LAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
* Familiarity with JAMF, SCCM, ITIL v3/v4 processes.
* Ability to use remote support tools and hardware troubleshooting.
* Asset inventory management and vendor coordination.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Entry‑level networking qualification (e.g., CompTIA Network+).
* CompTIA A+ certification or working toward.
* Practical experience with ITIL v3/v4 frameworks and service‑management systems.
