Job Description: Job title: DeFi Engineer Role Summary: Design, build, and maintain high‑performance DeFi systems on Solana and EVM chains, integrating on‑chain data feeds, transaction pipelines, and smart contracts to support market‑making and algorithmic trading strategies. Expectations: Deliver production‑ready, low‑latency trading infrastructure within tight deadlines; collaborate cross‑functionally with traders, quants, and engineers; continuously optimize transaction performance and system reliability. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain systems for ingesting high‑volume blockchain data with minimal latency. - Construct and manage transaction pipelines to execute trades on Solana or EVM with optimal speed and cost. - Design, code, test, and deploy production smart contracts and on‑chain programs. - Architect end‑to‑end data‑pipeline and execution frameworks, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance. - Make architecture and engineering decisions under time pressure, prioritizing critical features and trade‑offs. - Monitor, debug, and optimize transaction throughput and execution latency at all layers. Required Skills: - 4+ years of professional software development experience. - 2+ years building production DeFi solutions on Solana or EVM. - Proficient in Rust and/or Solidity (Solidity ≥ 0.6, Pulumi/Hardhat/Foundry). - Strong grasp of DeFi protocols, spot/margin trading, and on‑chain order execution mechanics. - Deep understanding of blockchain runtime, transaction lifecycle, and gas optimization. - Experience with real‑time data ingestion, message queuing, and low‑latency networking. - Ability to write efficient, testable, and well‑documented code in a high‑volume environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. - No mandatory certifications, but knowledge of blockchain security best practices and DeFi audit standards is a plus.
