Job Description
Job title: Security Officer IV Role Summary: Primary security professional responsible for managing comprehensive security support for the All‑Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security. Oversees personnel, physical, operational, and information security domains to protect highly classified UAP and national security information. Expectations: Deliver expert‑level security management, maintain compliance with DoD directives, ensure all personnel and contractors hold required TS/SCI clearances, safeguard facilities and information, and serve as the central security point of contact for AARO and related security entities. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and oversee security programs, policies, and procedures across all security domains. - Process and monitor security nomination packages, coordinate with DCSA, and maintain clearance status for all personnel and contractors. - Design and enforce physical security measures, key control procedures, and lock combination management for AARO facilities. - Protect classified and sensitive information (SCI, SAP materials), ensuring proper marking, storage, handling, and transmission. - Coordinate security requirements for classified IT systems and networks. - Deliver security indoctrination briefings, periodic awareness training, and advise leadership on best practices and emerging threats. - Review DD254 documents, coordinate contractor compliance, and manage industrial security requirements. - Maintain required security documentation in accordance with DoD Manuals (5205.07, 5105.21, etc.). - Participate in security inspections, implement corrective actions, and coordinate with Special Access Program and Special Security Offices as needed. Required Skills: - Minimum 8 years of experience in security roles involving personnel, physical, operational, and information security management. - Proven experience with highly classified programs and handling sensitive information. - In-depth knowledge of DoD security directives, regulations, and procedures. - Ability to manage comprehensive security programs and coordinate across multiple security organizations. - Strong documentation, compliance, and inspection management skills. - Effective training and communication skills for security awareness initiatives. Required Education & Certifications: - Active Top Secret clearance with current Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility. - Security Professional Education Development (SPED) certifications: • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) • Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) • Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC) • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) • Industrial Security Oversight Certification (ISOC) • Physical Security Certification (PSC) • Adjudicator Professional Certification (APC) • Due Process Adjudicator Professional Credential (DPAPC)
