Job Description: **Job Title** Senior Network Engineer **Role Summary** Senior network engineer responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing remote access and firewall infrastructures in a large enterprise environment. The role requires trilingual fluency (Dutch, French, English), hands‑on experience with Cisco AnyConnect, Cisco routing/switching, RSA, and Fortinet solutions, and the ability to execute migrations, upgrades, and incident resolution while participating in a 24/7 on‑call rotation. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑availability remote access and firewall services for a global workforce. - Act as the subject‑matter expert for remote access technologies, providing guidance and training to internal teams. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into secure, compliant IT solutions. - Participate in a structured on‑call schedule and respond to incidents within agreed SLAs. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage and support the Remote Access (RA) system, including Cisco AnyConnect and RSA. - Maintain and upgrade the ASA Firepower and Fortinet firewalls, applying patches and regulatory updates. - Serve as SME on remote access technologies and conduct change‑control presentations. - Monitor assets with available tools, document as‑built designs, and troubleshoot complex incidents through ServiceNow. - Coordinate migration and upgrade projects for network equipment and CA solutions. - Oversee daily management of Fortinet firewalls via FortiCloud and maintain VPN/EMS solutions for clients. **Required Skills** - Fluency in Dutch, French, and English (written and spoken). - Minimum 5 years of senior network engineering experience in large enterprise environments. - Deep knowledge of Cisco AnyConnect, ASA Firepower, RSA, and Cisco switching/routing. - Proficient with Fortinet firewalls, Fortinet Manager, and FortiCloud dashboards. - Experienced with migration, upgrade, and incident‑resolution workflows. - Competence in network topology design, monitoring tools, and ServiceNow incident management. - Understanding of regulatory requirements (PCI, GDPR, etc.) and application of security patches. - Ability to manage 24/7 on‑call rotations and handle multi‑site coordination. - Agile project experience is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). - Cisco CCNA and CCNP (Routing & Switching) – mandatory. - Fortinet NSE 4/5 (or equivalent) – preferred. - RSA or related authentication certifications – preferred. - Additional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are an advantage.
