Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, implement, and maintain highly scaled cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, automate provisioning with Terraform, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and ensure system reliability, security, and performance for IoT‑centric applications.
Expectations:
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or SRE on large‑scale platforms.
- Proven expertise in Terraform, GCP services (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery).
- Strong background in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of networking, IAM, encryption, and monitoring/logging tools.
- Ability to manage incident response, disaster recovery, and participate in on‑call rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage GCP infrastructure, including compute, networking, and data services.
- Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and version control.
- Optimize and support CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment.
- Implement and maintain Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and security; configure alerts and dashboards.
- Develop and enforce network security, IAM policies, and data encryption strategies.
- Plan and test incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications with cloud resources.
Required Skills:
- Terraform & IaC best practices.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery.
- CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting (Bash, Python, Go).
- Networking, IAM, encryption, monitoring/logging fundamentals.
- Experience with IoT architectures, MQTT/CoAP, and edge computing is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Terraform Associate, Kubernetes Administrator are preferred.
