Job Description
Job title: Data Operations Intern Role Summary: Gain hands‑on experience designing, monitoring, and visualizing data pipelines and ETL processes to support internal stakeholders and improve data quality and observability. Expactations: Complete a 10‑week internship with escalating responsibilities, deliver a capstone project to senior leadership, and collaborate closely with the Data Operations and Analytics teams. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor data volume tolerances and performance of live ETL pipelines. - Create and maintain data visualization dashboards for observability metrics. - Coordinate vendor support for troubleshooting data integration issues. - Conduct system research and contribute to process improvement initiatives. - Document workflows, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices. Required Skills: - Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL. - Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent). - Proficiency in data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar). - Familiarity with data quality, monitoring, and alerting concepts. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team environment. **Job Title**: Summer Internship – Data Science **Role Summary** Provide analytical and modeling support for member behavior and product usage projects, including churn prediction, activity forecasting, spending projections, and NLP/behavior modeling. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design data pipelines, build predictive models, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership. **Expectations** - Complete a 10‑week paid internship program. - Present a capstone project to executive leadership. - Participate in mentorship and learning events. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and train predictive models (classification, regression, clustering, NLP). - Design and execute SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from relational databases. - Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis. - Document model selection, validation, and deployment workflows. - Communicate findings and recommendations through reports and visualizations. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, numpy). - Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases. - Experience with data modeling, feature engineering, and model evaluation. - Familiarity with machine learning best practices and reproducible research. - Ability to interpret business problems and translate them into data science solutions. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment or recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative field. - Academic coursework or projects demonstrating model development and data analytics. ---
