**Job Title:** Lead Operative
**Role Summary:**
Supervise daily warehouse and stores operations, ensuring timely receipt and distribution of raw materials and packaging to production. Lead the team in loading bay, lift, goods in/out, fluids and powders areas, maintain safety, quality, and KPI targets, and act as interim manager when necessary.
**Expactations:**
- Deliver smooth, efficient day‑to‑day operations.
- Meet RFT, health & safety, and environmental objectives.
- Mentor, train, and support team members, covering absences.
- Maintain accurate inventory, audit records, and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement, 6S initiatives, and compliance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Direct, supervise, and troubleshoot activities of stores operatives.
- Prioritise workload, hand‑overs, and cover for team absences.
- Inspect materials, equipment, and conduct cycle counts/audits.
- Report H&S checks, racking inspections, Maximo, COOSPI & LX02 data.
- Train and mentor new/temporary staff.
- Lead investigations and incident reporting.
- Participate in meetings with Stores Manager/Lead Operator on KPIs, training, 6S, and labour plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety, ISO 9002, and company procedures.
- Support additional departments as required.
**Required Skills:**
- Valid counterbalance forklift license (pivot steer/FLEXI).
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse and production operations.
- Understanding of H&S regulations, ISO 9002, and 6S principles.
- Proficient in SAP/Salesforce, Maximo, and basic PC skills.
- Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, adaptable, and motivated to learn.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Counterbalance forklift licence (pivot steer/FLEXI) and/or driver’s licence.
- Familiarity with ISO 9002 and related SOPs.
- Basic computer literacy.
