Job Title: Software Engineer – Fircosoft
Role Summary
Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise‑scale sanctions screening solutions built on FircoSoft platforms. Own the entire lifecycle from design and configuration to production stabilization and performance tuning, ensuring high‑throughput, low‑latency transaction screening across a global corporate banking environment. Provide technical leadership and mentor peers on FircoSoft best practices and platform evolution.

- Deliver mission‑critical, production‑grade sanctions screening systems that process massive transaction volumes.
- Own end‑to‑end responsibility for FircoSoft implementations, from design through deployment and operational support.
- Drive continuous improvement of architecture, performance, and resilience in a highly regulated financial context.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure high‑throughput, low‑latency screening workflows using FircoSoft components (Continuity V6, Screening Preparation, Firco Utilities).
- Build and maintain Java‑based integrations (Java, J2EE, Spring Boot), Oracle PL/SQL, and messaging adapters (IBM MQ, Kafka).
- Lead microservices and messaging architecture to support scalability and resiliency.
- Analyse production behaviour, identify bottlenecks, and lead performance tuning and stability improvements.
- Establish and enforce architecture and design standards for FircoSoft implementations.
- Serve as the technical authority on FircoSoft, mentoring engineers and influencing platform direction.
- Collaborate closely with product, compliance, and operations teams to meet regulatory and business‑critical requirements.
Required Skills
- Extensive hands‑on experience with FircoSoft, including Continuity V6, Screening Preparation, and utilities.
- Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, shell scripting.
- Experience with messaging and integration technologies: IBM MQ, Kafka.
- Knowledge of microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS fundamentals).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), application resiliency, and security best practices.
- Deep understanding of sanctions screening workflows, data processing at scale, and regulatory requirements.
- End‑to‑end SDLC experience, including production support and operational resilience.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Formal training or certification in FircoSoft implementations is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud‑native architecture and containerization concepts is a plus.
