Job Description: Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer I – Fullstack **Role Summary** Lead the design, development, and deployment of high‑impact full‑stack features for Microsoft and Marketplace products. Own end‑to‑end delivery, from architecture to production, while driving performance, scalability, and code quality. **Expectations** - Deliver production‑grade, well‑tested code with high test coverage. - Own features from concept through deployment and monitoring. - Mentor peers with thorough code reviews and constructive feedback. **Key Responsibilities** - Scope, design, and implement major full‑stack features and architectural improvements independently. - Write clean, documented, and test‑driven Ruby on Rails back‑end code (APIs, business logic, database). - Build and maintain React/JS/TS front‑end layers that integrate with back‑end services. - Optimize PostgreSQL queries, schemas, and database performance under heavy load. - Apply container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP). - Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements and overall SDLC practices. - Conduct in‑depth code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and elevate code quality across the team. **Required Skills** - Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience building customer‑facing, high‑traffic applications. - Deep expertise in Ruby on Rails. - Full‑stack proficiency: React (JS/TS) for front‑end and Ruby on Rails for back‑end. - Strong SQL knowledge and experience optimizing PostgreSQL queries and schema designs. - Experience with test‑driven development: unit, integration, and functional tests. - Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP). - Demonstrated ability to perform thorough code reviews and own feature lifecycles from design to production. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
