**Job Title**
Infrastructure Engineer (Hyper‑V)
**Role Summary**
Design, deploy, and maintain the organization’s on‑premises Hyper‑V virtualization environment and Microsoft Active Directory services. Ensure high availability, security, compliance, and scalability across all virtual and physical infrastructure.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 3 years of experience in virtualization and Active Directory administration.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Hyper‑V and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Strong scripting and IaC skills (PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep).
- Ability to manage hybrid identity, security, and disaster‑recovery solutions.
- Flexible schedule with on‑call duty, travel up to 30 days/year, and occasional after‑hours work.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Virtualization & Infrastructure**
- Design, build, and deploy new Hyper‑V environments.
- Maintain high‑availability and disaster‑recovery strategies.
- Manage remote on‑prem servers and perform cost analysis for cloud vs. on‑prem workloads.
2. **Active Directory & Identity Services**
- Administer domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services.
- Support hybrid identity integration with Azure.
3. **Security & Compliance**
- Implement endpoint security, device compliance policies, and GPO enforcement.
- Use Azure ARC, Azure Automanage, and Defender for Endpoint for asset and security management.
- Conduct system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and patch management.
4. **Automation & Scripting**
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for administration automation.
- Manage IaC solutions with Terraform or Bicep.
5. **Support & Collaboration**
- Provide escalated support to 1st/2nd tier IT staff.
- Resolve infrastructure issues with internal teams and vendors.
- Communicate status, advisories, and best‑practice documentation.

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Microsoft certifications preferred: MCSE/MCSE-Data Platform, MCSA: Windows Server, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate.
