Job Description

Job title: Product Manager (Business Analyst skills required) Role Summary: Lead product ownership for data management and reference data initiatives, translating business needs into functional requirements and coordinating delivery within agile frameworks. Expactations: Deliver scalable data solutions aligned with business strategy; maintain a prioritized backlog, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and support data governance and modeling efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Own and manage product backlog for reference data and data management initiatives. - Prioritize features to meet business objectives and data strategy. - Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions. - Participate in agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews). - Gather and document business and functional requirements, develop user stories, and define acceptance criteria. - Analyze existing data flows, identify gaps, and propose improvements. - Support implementation of reference data frameworks, data standards, quality rules, and metadata definitions. - Assist with data modeling and integration activities as needed. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management. - Ability to manage multiple priorities across cross‑functional teams. - Familiarity with data governance, reference data concepts, and data quality frameworks. - Experience with SQL, Excel, Visio, and Jira. - Proven track record in agile delivery environments. - Experience with data management programmes, master/reference data initiatives, and data modeling. - Exposure to financial trading systems or energy/commodity markets (ETRM platforms such as Endur). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Management or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Product Owner, Agile Practitioner, Data Governance) are advantageous.
