Operations Director
**Role Summary**
Lead and optimize end‑to‑end industrial and support operations across multiple high‑technology sites, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and financial targets while driving continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.
**Expectations**
- Deliver operational excellence aligned with strategic plans and multi‑year budgets.
- Champion lean and digital transformation, elevating process quality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory, export‑control, and data‑protection standards.
- Build and sustain a high‑performing, inclusive operations leadership team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define and execute national operations strategy in line with business priorities.
- Set and achieve KPIs for safety, quality, cost, delivery, cash flow, and workforce.
- Lead transformation roadmap (Lean, digital, process excellence).
- Oversee embedded electronics and rockets/launchers manufacturing, including subcontractor selection.
- Manage the end‑to‑end supply chain, supplier performance, resilience, and on‑time delivery.
- Implement group purchasing model, improving QCD, risk, cash, and offset performance.
- Maintain robust Quality Management System, reducing non‑conformities and associated costs.
- Uphold HSE culture, ensuring personnel and asset safety.
- Serve as primary contact for pyrotechnic operations regulations.
- Strategize site real‑estate, leading evolution programs to support growth.
- Align IT/IS with group strategy and international development priorities.
- Drive budgeting, financial performance, and working‑capital optimization.
- Ensure adherence to ethics code, export control, and data‑protection requirements.
- Represent the organization to institutional stakeholders and industry bodies.
**Required Skills**
- Senior executive leadership in complex, high‑tech multi‑site industrial environments.
- Proven success in industrialisation, production, program/offering management, risk, supply chain, and procurement.
- Strategic vision with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience in defense, electronics, or munitions sectors highly valued.
- Proficiency with ERP/PLM and digital tools (e.g., Oracle Core Model, PCM, PALMA).
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or Dutch preferred.
- Strong communication, stakeholder influence, and team‑building capabilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field (MBA or equivalent business qualification a plus).
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting and investment planning.
