Job Description
**Job Title** Intermediate I&C Engineer **Role Summary** Design, install, program, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for industrial automation projects. Serve as the primary technical resource for the I&C subsystem, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with project specifications and safety standards. **Expectations** * Deliver engineering solutions within agreed timelines and budgets. * Demonstrate independence and proactive problem‑solving in a contract‑to‑direct environment. * Communicate effectively with project managers, field staff, and vendors. * Maintain accurate documentation and report progress to stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Develop I&C system designs, including schematic, layout, and documentation. 2. Program and configure PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and associated field instruments. 3. Conduct commissioning, functional testing, and performance verification. 4. Troubleshoot and resolve field failures, providing root‑cause analysis. 5. Perform field installation support, ensuring compliance with industry and safety standards. 6. Update and maintain system documentation (SDS, final drawings, test reports). 7. Foster quality and safety culture by adhering to relevant regulations and best practices. **Required Skills** * Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, etc.). * Experience with HMI/SCADA design and integration. * Strong knowledge of field instrumentation (transmitters, sensors, actuators). * Electrical commissioning and troubleshooting skills. * Familiarity with safety standards (IEC 61508/61511, NFPA 79). * Effective communication and teamwork in cross‑functional teams. * Solid problem‑solving and analytical abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline. * Professional certification preferred (e.g., IEC 61508, Certified Automation Professional). * Valid driver’s license acceptable for field visits.
