**Job Title**
Data Scientist
**Role Summary**
Provide advanced analytics, machine‑learning and predictive modeling services to a diverse portfolio of pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Work on projects across therapeutic areas (neuroscience, oncology, genomics, etc.), deliver data insights, develop custom analytics tools, and support implementation of analytical solutions with stakeholders.
**Expactations**
- Minimum 5 years experiential depth in data science, computer science, or software/database development.
- Fluent in English and French (written & spoken).
- Strong academic foundation (engineering, biology, or related data‑science discipline).
**Key Responsibilities**
- Aggregate, cleanse, and analyze complex biomedical datasets to identify patterns, trends, and relationships.
- Build, validate, and deploy predictive models using machine‑learning, deep‑learning, and statistical techniques.
- Design and develop custom analytical systems (software and, where necessary, hardware) in collaboration with external partners.
- Generate comprehensive documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures for analytics tools and models.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and cost reporting; coordinate cross‑functional teams and stakeholder communication.
- Deploy and maintain visualization dashboards (PowerBI, Tableau) to present analytic results.
- Apply signal‑processing methods to relevant data streams (e.g., biopharmaceutical measurements).
**Required Skills**
- Programming: Python, R, MATLAB, C (proficient).
- Data visualization and reporting: PowerBI, Tableau.
- Database: SQL (incl. Oracle).
- Analytics: Statistics, algorithm design, machine‑learning & deep‑learning frameworks, big‑data technologies.
- Signal‑processing fundamentals.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Biology, Computer Science, or an equivalent data‑science discipline.
- Demonstrated portfolio of data‑science projects or experience; certifications in advanced analytics or machine‑learning (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, SAS) are a plus.
