Job Description
**Job Title:** Biosensor/Electrochemistry R&D Engineer – Internship **Role Summary:** Intern will conduct research and development of electrochemical biosensor electrodes for a metabolic biowearable patch. Activities include literature review, bench‑scale potentiometric and amperometric testing, data analysis, signal‑processing algorithm development, and laboratory/in‑vivo validation. Participation in cross‑functional projects (sterilization, biotoxicity, industrialization, QC, regulatory compliance, product design) is expected. **Expectations:** - Complete internship within 5–6 months, starting January/February 2026. - Deliver experimental data, analysis reports, and validation results to the founding team. - Contribute to project planning and documentation for future regulatory submissions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform comprehensive literature reviews on electrochemical sensor technologies. - Design, set up, and execute potentiometric and amperometric experiments with implantable electrodes. - Collect, process, and analyze raw sensor data; develop and refine signal‑processing algorithms. - Validate sensor performance in controlled lab conditions and in vivo models. - Draft sterilization and biotoxicity protocols in collaboration with quality teams. - Assist in industrialization, quality control, and regulatory documentation efforts. - Participate in product design discussions and multi‑disciplinary focus groups. **Required Skills:** - Strong foundation in electrochemistry, chemistry, and/or biomedical engineering. - Familiarity with materials science or polymer chemistry for biosensor fabrication. - Proficiency in data acquisition systems, lab software, and basic signal‑processing techniques. - Ability to design experiments, troubleshoot equipment, and interpret results. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing technical reports. - Self‑motivated, creative problem‑solver, team‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving startup environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrollment or recent graduation (≤ 1 year) in Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related STEM field. - No specific certifications required; knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) or ISO 13485 standards is a plus.
