**Job title:** Instructional Systems Designer
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and evaluate instructional solutions for a global aerospace client, ensuring training meets regulatory, quality, and safety standards. Conduct needs analyses, collaborate with subject matter experts, create course artifacts, and promote a first‑time‑quality culture across instructor‑led and distance learning programs.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience designing high‑quality learning solutions.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and evaluation methods.
- Proven ability to create and assure instructor‑led and distance‑learning courseware, ideally in aerospace, energy, transport, or manufacturing.
- Working familiarity with the Systems Approach to Training (SAT), MOD JSP 822, and Defence SAT (DSAT).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to industry and MoD sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; independence, collaboration, and remote work capability.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and template‑based documentation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Analyse customer training requirements to set course objectives, content, and design methodology.
- Design, develop, and evaluate bespoke technical training, assessments, and assurance artefacts with SMEs.
- Deliver training solutions that adhere to quality, regulatory, and company standards, embedding first‑time‑quality discipline.
- Promote safety by identifying risks, modeling safe behaviours, and supporting a proactive safety culture.
- Compile data for proposals and contribute to reports on training design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coach and mentor colleagues on instructional design methodologies and activities.
- Identify and implement innovative instructional methods, technologies, and tools.
