Job Description
Job Title: Scientific Collaboration Officer Role Summary: Support IPIE’s scientific mission by managing committee and panel operations, overseeing editorial processes for scientific assessments, and maintaining the global affiliate network. Coordinate cross‑functional projects, ensure timely delivery of high‑quality publications, and foster engagement among international scientists. Expectations: Deliver consistent, timely scientific outputs; maintain efficient workflows and documentation; engage effectively with diverse, remote teams; uphold high editorial and production standards; strengthen the affiliate community and operational frameworks. Key Responsibilities: • Provide staff support for committees and panels: meeting prep, participation, follow‑up, and project tracking. • Manage end‑to‑end editorial and production of assessments: reviewer coordination, timeline management, and quality control. • Serve as primary interface with external publishers, copyeditors, designers, and production services. • Build and maintain editorial systems, templates, and repeatable workflows. • Identify, recruit, and manage affiliate scientists via Salesforce; update profiles, host calls, and report activity. • Coordinate weekly programs call with consulting scientists and attend secretariat meetings. • Continuously improve operational frameworks to align with evolving organizational needs. Required Skills: • Project management of complex, multi‑workstream initiatives. • Strong editorial and production oversight. • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM. • Excellent written and verbal communication in English; fluency in additional UN languages a plus. • Ability to work across international, multidisciplinary, culturally diverse remote teams. • Familiarity with measurement, evaluation, and learning methodologies and research methods. Required Education & Certifications: Doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., science, policy, social science) or equivalent professional experience.
