Job Description
Job title: Dietitian Patient Navigator (UK) – Independent Consultant Role Summary: Remote, independent consultant responsible for navigating patients through UK clinical trials, ensuring retention, eligibility assessment, and seamless communication between participants and study sites. Expectations: - Must reside in the UK and possess a dedicated home office with high‑speed internet suitable for VoIP. - Work independently as a contractor, handling own taxes and invoicing. - Provide services during normal business hours as confirmed pre‑study. - Maintain professional English communication and adhere to GCP and data protection standards. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver live inbound/outbound support to participants and caregivers via phone, email, and web chat. - Identify and resolve participation barriers, provide protocol information, and offer emotional support. - Triage urgent queries requiring immediate clinical or emergency intervention. - Conduct eligibility calls within 1–2 business days of referral using scripted checklists. - Schedule eligible participants for site visits, track status to final eligibility determination. - Accurately record outcomes and manage tickets in the helpdesk platform. - Build and maintain relationships with study sites, motivating recruitment and follow‑up. - Compile and submit summary activity and query resolution reports to project management. Required Skills: - Registered Dietitian with valid national registration. - Minimum 2 years of clinical research experience, preferably in patient navigation or related roles. - Current GCP certification (training available). - Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Meet) and Microsoft Office. - Comfortable navigating helpdesk/ticketing systems and data entry. - Strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, and empathy skills. - Time‑management and independent work capability. Required Education & Certifications: - Registered Dietitian (national registration). - Current GCP certification. - Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (or equivalent).
