Job title: Senior Data Scientist – Generative AI
Role Summary:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced generative AI and NLP solutions that solve complex business problems for Fortune 500 clients. Leverage 6‑10 years of experience to architect scalable, production‑grade AI models and communicate insights across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Expactations:
- 6‑10 years in data science or related field with a demonstrable portfolio of AI/NLP projects.
- Expertise in Python, SQL, large‑scale data manipulation, and model deployment.
- Deep knowledge of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation, and modern NLP techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and storytelling skills to translate data insights into business value.
- Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, product, business) and present findings to executives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement end‑to‑end machine learning pipelines for generative AI projects.
2. Train, optimize, and deploy LLM‑based models and NLP solutions on production environments.
3. Process and enrich text/transcription data, conduct feature engineering, and evaluate model performance.
4. Identify business workflow gaps, analyze root causes using advanced statistical methods, and recommend scalable AI‑driven solutions.
5. Stay abreast of AI/NLP research, assess new algorithms, and pilot emerging technologies.
6. Produce comprehensive documentation and deliver clear presentations to stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
- SQL and experience with large relational or distributed databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- NLP: tokenization, embeddings, transformers, fine‑tuning, prompt engineering, RAG techniques
- Generative AI: model architecture, training, hyperparameter tuning, deployment (Docker, MLflow)
- Statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, causal inference
- Strong communication: explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
- Collaborative mindset: work cross‑functionally with engineering and product teams
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- Certifications in AI/ML (e.g., TensorFlow Developer Certificate, AWS AI/ML Specialty) are preferred but not mandatory.
