Job Title: Business Analyst (Advanced)
Role Summary:
Senior-level analyst partnering with Agile development teams in a public‑sector technology environment. Translate strategic and operational goals into detailed business and technical requirements, conduct process analysis, and guide initiatives from ideation through approval, ensuring alignment with business value and enterprise objectives.
Expectations:
- Deliver clear, actionable business and system requirements that meet stakeholder needs.
- Review and analyze complex business processes, dependencies, and data flows.
- Identify gaps, recommend improvements, and support transition planning.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, prioritize initiatives, and present executive‑level summaries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, document, and analyze complex business processes and system dependencies.
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to develop specifications, use cases, and business rules.
- Plan and support testing efforts (regression, functional, integration, data validation, performance).
- Conduct business needs assessments and translate findings into actionable requirements.
- Support business case development, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and funding documentation.
- Facilitate stakeholder sessions to elicit, analyze, and prioritize modernization and migration initiatives.
- Perform impact analyses and evaluate demand patterns to identify trends and business value.
- Identify process gaps, design improved workflows, define performance measures, and support transition planning.
- Prepare executive‑level summaries while maintaining detailed supporting documentation.
Required Skills:
- Strong process mapping and modeling using Microsoft Visio.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of data migration practices and methodologies.
- Understanding of testing and quality assurance tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with change and release management processes.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of business process and systems analysis experience.
- Professional certifications (CSM, CBAP, PMI‑PBA, PMI‑ACP, PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
