Job title: Systems Engineer – Microsoft / Identity / Azure
Role Summary:
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing a hybrid Microsoft infrastructure that supports core business and operational services. Duties include identity and access management, Microsoft 365 administration, platform monitoring, incident resolution, and security hardening within an ITIL service‑management framework.
Expectations:
- Deliver high availability, reliability, and security for core infrastructure.
- Collaborate across technical teams and adhere to ITIL processes.
- Respond to incidents promptly, conduct root‑cause analysis, and document final outcomes.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation actions.
- Maintain and improve operational procedures and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage identity and access services (Azure AD, Entra ID, Entra Connect, AD FS).
- Administer Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Monitor, patch, and upgrade Windows 10/11 and Azure services (Security Center, Sentinel, Log Analytics).
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service issues across the hybrid platform.
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities, applying security best practices.
- Contribute to ITIL service desk processes using ServiceNow, including incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Update and maintain operational documentation, run‑books, and procedures.
Required Skills:
- Proficient with Azure AD, Entra ID, Entra Connect, AD FS, and on‑prem AD.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).
- Knowledge of Azure services: Security Center, Sentinel, Log Analytics.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts and ServiceNow (or equivalent).
- Experience with Windows 10/11 administration and patch management.
- Effective written and verbal communication for documentation and coordination.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Microsoft certifications preferred (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST).
