Job Description
Job title: Internal Communications Officer Role Summary: Develop, write, and disseminate engaging internal communication content to keep NFU staff and Group Secretary Network connected, informed, and inspired. Manage intranet updates, e‑newsletters, and support event/activities coordination across teams, ensuring all messaging aligns with NFU values and business priorities. Expectations: Deliver measurable internal communication impact through clear, accessible content across digital and offline channels. Translate complex organisational matters into concise messages for staff at all levels. Maintain high standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and strategic alignment. Key Responsibilities * Plan, produce and publish intranet and e‑newsletter content that informs, engages and motivates staff. * Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify and share key organisational news and updates. * Support planning, promotion and execution of internal events and activities. * Collaborate with Communications Directorate to integrate internal messages with external campaigns. * Analyze engagement metrics and report on the effectiveness of communication initiatives. * Maintain consistency of tone, style and brand guidelines across all internal communications. Required Skills * Proven experience in internal communications or related roles. * Strong writing, editing and content creation skills for digital and print media. * Expertise in intranet management and e‑newsletter platforms. * Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences. * Excellent organisational, multitasking and deadline‑management abilities. * Diplomatic communication style, able to handle sensitive information confidentially. * Proactive, self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude. Required Education & Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field. * Professional certifications in communications or digital media (e.g., CME, Certified Digital Marketing Professional) are an advantage.
