**Job title** Senior Software Engineer – Data **Role Summary** Design, build, and operate large‑scale, AI‑enhanced data pipelines that power enterprise data automation tools. Lead engineering of scalable, cloud‑native infrastructure, optimize SQL performance on Snowflake, and develop intelligent SQL tooling (AST parsing, dynamic ETL, data lineage). Drive performance, reliability, and feature delivery for production systems used by global data teams. **Expectations** - 8 + years of software engineering with a focus on data systems. - Proven ability to deliver high‑throughput, PB‑scale pipelines and 100 k+ job workloads. - Strong command of Python, SQL, and cloud‑native orchestration (Airflow, dbt, Kubernetes). - Hands‑on experience optimizing Snowflake queries, working with SQL parsers (e.g., sqlglot), and implementing column‑level lineage. - Capacity to collaborate cross‑functionally, mentor peers, and contribute to open‑source projects. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Build and maintain PB‑scale data pipelines that process ≥ 100 k jobs/day. 2. Design and deploy cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS using K8s, Airflow, and other orchestration tools. 3. Develop an intelligent SQL ecosystem: query profiling, dynamic pipeline generation, and fine‑grained data lineage using SQL AST analysis. 4. Optimize and tune Snowflake queries for performance and cost efficiency. 5. Integrate AI agents into existing data workflows, ensuring seamless user experience. 6. Produce automated deployment pipelines, test suites, and monitoring for production workloads. 7. Mentor junior engineers, review code, and uphold engineering best practices. 8. Contribute to open‑source initiatives and share knowledge with the broader community. **Required Skills** - Expertise in Python and advanced SQL. - SQL query profiling, optimization, and tuning on Snowflake. - Experience with SQL AST manipulation and libraries such as sqlglot for dynamic ETL. - Building pipelines with Airflow or dbt. - Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS. - Familiarity with Kubernetes for containerized deployments (preferred). - Strong understanding of scalable data architecture and performance engineering. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Snowflake certification) are a plus.
